EL YUCATECO Touchdown Tacos

It’s Playoff time Baby! Woo hoo! Where are my die hard football fans at? You guys already know how important this time of the year is for your favorite team. It’s win or go home and losing is not an option. That’s right football fanatics, we’re right there cheering on our teams too. In this household, we get so excited to watch the remainder teams play and get one step closer to winning the Big Game. I will say, the playoff’s are full of excitement for my friends and family. Yes, you guessed it, when we get together we’re one rowdy bunch. Nothing holds us back from rooting on our team. One thing we don’t neglect on is serving amazing foods at our gatherings. Hey, with all this yelling and hooting going on, our crowd gets hungry.

As for hosting a playoff party at your home, we want our guests to have a good time. -And no matter what the score might be, we make sure there are plenty of tasty foods to go around.

So as I was thinking about our next playoff party at my home, I decided to run over to my local Publix to pick up a few ingredients. I wanted a recipe that my guests would love and one that has a “kick” to it. We love foods that bring the heat so I just knew my El Yucateco Touchdown Tacos would be a hit. I’ve made them before and my family absolutely loved them. I grabbed a few bottles of my favorite Red Habanero Hot Sauce and the rest of my ingredients before heading home.

You can’t go wrong with serving tacos. Normally, I use hamburger when making them but this time, I used ground pork for my recipe. Have you ever tried it? Oh, it tastes so good with El Yucateco Red Habanero Hot Sauce mixed in. It gives the pork so much flavor. When it comes to making tacos, you have choices. I prefer mine loaded. Adding fresh shredded lettuce and cheese, tomatoes, sliced jalapeno peppers, bacon and drizzled sour cream makes one amazing taco.

Cooking pork is similar to hamburger when making tacos. First I began to chop the ground pork with using a spatula. I found that chopping it before cooking it makes a world of difference and saves time. Once you have chopped your pork, place it in your skillet on medium heat. Continue to cook and stir.

Next, I added two tablespoons of Red Habanero Hot Sauce to the chopped pork. Continue to cook pork until brown. It’s important when adding your hot sauce that you spread it equally over the meat. Doing so gives an unbelievable flavor for the meat.

Speaking of flavor, Did you know that El Yucateco Red Habanero Hot Sauce is made with fresh red habanero peppers, tomatoes, select spices, and seasonings? We love it on everything! It’s an all purpose hot sauce that has just the right amount of “kick” that gives your “everyday” foods the best flavor.

These Touchdown Tacos are so hard to resist. One bite and your guests will be all over them. One of the reasons why I love this recipe is the twist on using pork instead of hamburger. It really brings out a great combination of flavors with your taco toppings. -Plus adding my favorite El Yucateco Hot Sauce gives it the flavor your guest crave on Game Day.
