Super Easy Brownie Whoppie Pies

I am over the moon and super excited that baking season has finally arrived. -And especially more so since it’s the holiday season. I just can’t carve my way out of the kitchen. It’s all about baking for me. My husband and kids think mom now lives in the kitchen because of these last two months of the year.  It’s all about baked desserts that will warm the hearts of your loved ones.

I love to bake holiday homemade goodies then gift them to our friends, neighbors, mailman to even our landscaping guys who keeps are grass looking great all year round. You see, even although it’s a small token of appreciation, baked desserts is a thoughtful way to show how much you appreciate them throughout the year.

One thing is for sure, it feels so awesome to treat others during the holiday season. Especially when I get my family involved in baking for others. It’s so much fun!

Do you know what the best part of baking for others is? You don’t need to spend a ridiculous amount of hours doing it. Just like the other day when I was talking to my daughter about making whoopie pies for a friend of mine who is having pre-holiday blues and missing her recently deployed husband. She said to me, “mom, why don’t you make brownie whoopie pies like you did before” they’re so much fun!  Even although I made them in the past, I still remember how yummy they were. So it was a yes right away!

So with not much time to waste,  I headed over to my local Walmart to pick up a few boxes of Pillsbury™ Family Size Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix from in the baking aisle. While I was picking those up, I was also thinking about what type of filling to put in the brownie whoopie pies . Usually, when I make whoopie pies, I use melted marshmallows but this time around, I wanted to add something different. So that is when I decided to also pick up Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme® Vanilla Flavored Frosting while I was there.

That is when my daughter said to me, mom do you know what would also make your friend smile? I say no, what? She said, M&M’S® Brand Minis Milk Chocolate Baking Bits because baking and eating M&M’S® are so much fun together. Oh, I couldn’t agree more. I love M&M’S® they’re my favorite chocolate candy by far.

Before checking out at Walmart, I decided to look to see if there were any ibotta rebates  available. -And behold, there was. I was so excited to learn that I could earn cash back when purchasing Pillsbury™ Family Size Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix, and M&M’S® Brand Minis Milk Chocolate Baking Bits. I totally scored and it was a win-win for me.

When I returned home with my daughter, I decided to start baking right away. In the back of my mind, I knew how much these brownie whoopie pies would cheer up my friend so I couldn’t wait to surprise her with them. -Plus, it’s like getting two sweet treat gifts in one.  For me, I have the pleasure in baking and giving these yummy treats to her.

Super Easy Brownie Whoopie Pies

Baking these brownie whoopie pies are super easy. In fact, since the brownies are made from  Pillsbury™ Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix you just saved tons of time right there. Depending on the size of your baking pan, these delicious fudge brownies will be baked within 30 minutes or less.

For this recipe,  you will need a few things. First, you will need a round drinking glass or circle shaped cookie cutter and here is why. Once your brownies have cooled and ready for the filling,  press down the bottom of your drinking glass on the brownies. Honestly, your circular brownies come out looking so perfect when you use this trick. Once you have removed your brownies from the baking pan it’s time to start filling the pies with Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme® Vanilla Flavored Frosting.

With using a large spoon, add your vanilla flavored frosting (white) in a piping bag. Begin, by adding the frosting around the edges of your brownie until you get to the center. Take another brownie and place it on top of your frosting.

Even although I added M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Baking Bits to the brownie mixture, I also decided to sprinkle red and green sugar crystals to my brownie whoopie pies. So good! You know that I had to try one. hahaha

Woo hoo, these brownie whoopie pies had me saying Mmm, Mmm good!

Now that's a whoopie pie! I love the addition of the M&M's because I'm such a fan. They look so festive and yummy - just in time for the holidays. I also like that you don't have to spend hours in the kitchen.

Your Brownie Whoopie Pies look delicious. My hubby loves making brownies, I'll show him this idea. I literally just registered with Ibotta last week. Not sure why I wasn't already doing it. Saving money is always a good idea!!

Those Whoopie pies are so festive! I am sure they taste heavenly too. I have lots of bonding moments in the kitchen with my daughter. Even if most of our "creations" were major fails, I still look back at those days with fondness. Thanks for sharing your recipe for the pies. I'm passing it on to my daughter and sister.

Your brownie whoopie pie recipe is a quick, fun way to bring a holiday twist to a classic! I love whoopie pies, and revel in the varieties offered when we visit Amish country - I bet these would be a perfect way to sate a whoopie pie craving without the long drive. I'm already imaging how delicious these would be as they are, and of how versatile they are in that you can add various filling flavors and candy. I think I may have to give them a try this weekend

Be still my heart, these look really good! OMG! I love how festive they are and I like that this is a dish that you can make for all events not just for one. I am going to have to make these and bring them to our holiday party at work.
