PATRIOTIC POOL PARTY IDEAS

With summer in full swing, we can’t help but get excited for our annual Patriotic Pool Party. Here are some great ideas and helpful tips to make the most of the Fourth of July.

We’re only weeks away from our epic summer party of the year, the Fourth of July. I can’t even believe it’s almost here. Can you? My children have been out of school since the end of May and the weather here in Central Florida has been awful. We are going on two straight weeks of rain with no ending in sight. Luckily, the past two days we actually got a chance to see the sun for a few hours on both days so we took, full advantage of it.

Our Fourth of July, Patriotic Pool Party has always been our favorite summer event to host at our home. There is so much to keep in mind when throwing a pool party. Keeping the kids happy and entertained is just as important so with that said, here are a few tips and pool party ideas to keep the fun going.

PATRIOTIC POOL PARTY IDEAS

One of the best juice drinks to have around the pool this summer is Fruit Shoot. Have you heard of them? We absolutely believe they’re a must and here is why. Not only do the kids love them but they’re safe for them to drink around the pool or deck area. Not to mention, perfect for on the go!

The last thing you want is plastic juice straw wrappers floating in the pool or worrying about them filtering to your pool pump. That would be terrible and costly. I always choose to serve Fruit Shoot juice drinks because they’re safe for children to drink out of, no straws are needed, the juice is in a safe plastic bottle with a resealable cap. -And if dropped, there is less of a worry.

Keeping the kids busy in the pool seems effortless but another way to keep them happy is with a water balloon toss. My kids absolutely love tossing around a water balloon and it’s a fun activity for the summer. You can pick up water balloons with patriotic colors or stars and stripes for your summer 4th of July party too! Even your younger guests and preteens will love it!

-And when a break is needed, you can count on Fruit Shoot juice drinks to quench their thirst. Trust me, you can get really hot, real quick from tossing around a water balloon especially if a water balloon doesn’t burst. It didn’t take my daughter too long before she was thirsty and ready for the next pool party activity.

Another fun kid friendly pool idea is to have them “bowl” with using Fruit Shoot bottles. Here is the best part, they need to knock down the bottles with using a water squirt toy. This might take some time for them to knock all the bottles down but kids absolutely love it. It’s even fun for adults too.

For this DIY Fruit Shoot Bowling pool activity you will need a patriotic plastic tablecloth and at least, 12 bottles of Fruit Shoot juice drinks, a beach ball or water squirt toy. Start by placing down the patriotic tablecloth beside your pool, pool deck, or on any flat surface like grass.

For the water squirt toy, you can find them at any retail store or near the pool supplies. My daughter’s facial expression says it all. She was determine to knock down all the Fruit Shoot juice drink bottles. She would knock down one then quickly refill her water squirt toy with more pool water. Oh yes, she was on a mission to get them down and it was a lot of fun to watch.

Celebrating the Fourth of July doesn’t come to a close without a few sparklers. Being that safety is a first priority, it’s always wise to have plastic cups on hand and here is why.

As much as our children love holding sparklers in their hands, it can be also dangerous to do it. So this tip is extremely important.

On the bottom side of a plastic cup, poke a hole through it. Slide the unlit sparkler through the hole and have your child place their hand inside of the cup and grab the end of the sparkler.

When you light the sparkler, any residue that branches off from the sparkler will be away from their hands since their hands will be protected inside the plastic cup. Brilliant idea right?

Preparing for our summer Fourth of July pool party has been fun to do. I believe this year will be the best yet. The kids are going to love the water balloon toss and bowling with Fruit Shoot juice drink bottles.

What are some of ways you like to prepare for your Fourth of July Patriotic Pool Party?
