Just a few days ago,  I received a wonderful opportunity to review  Oz The Great and Powerful on Blu-Ray combo pack. This DVD will be available in your local retail stores starting on June 11th.

Being that I seen this movie in the theater I highly recommend it on Blu- Ray. It looks so awesome! The colors are so vibrant and the actors are super clear. It honestly looks like I am watching it in a theater. When I originally seen this film in the movie theater I was blown away by the 3-D effects and how it truly made me feel like I was apart of the movie. This combo collection is no exception.

If you didn’t have a chance to see it in the theaters then you certainly missed out on the number one  film of the year if you asked me.

It starts when Oscar Diggs (James Franco) takes an fantasy adventure from the dusty roads of Kansas to the Land of Oz. Being that Oscar is a small circus magician he thinks that he hit the jackpot of fame and fortune when he arrives in the land of Oz. Everything is great until he meets the three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams). The witches are not convinced that he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting specially Theodora and Evanora.

Did I even mention how incredible the costumes are in this film? They are very fancy aren’t they.

Meanwhile Oscar (James Franco) decides to put his magical illustrations to life and trick those witches to think otherwise.

The film is full of action, drama and twists. Be prepared to be “wow’d”.

Oz The Great and Powerful 3 disc combo comes with the Blu-Ray, DVD and HD Digital copy. You will also receive a bonus which includes Disney Second Screen, Journey Deeper and Into The Land of Oz.

If you need a good laugh, then check out the extra content that is included which has some great clips of bloopers.

Oz The Great and Powerful runs for about 130 minutes and is rated PG. Some scenes might frighten younger children.

I still haven't seen "Oz: The Great and Powerful," but have wanted to since I first heard about it. I was actually turned off from seeing it after finding out that it was directed by the same person who did the "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Alice in Wonderland" remakes, both of which I despised. I know, I'm one of the few people out there that dislike them.
