A piece of my Milk Chocolate Swiss Miss Cheesecake and a chilled Chocolate Milkshake is exactly how I want to indulge during the holiday season near the fireplace.

Milk Chocolate Swiss Miss Cheesecake

Mmm, there is nothing like my Milk Chocolate Swiss Miss Cheesecake around the holiday season. It can instantly put you in a good mood after one bite. This cheesecake is so rich and creamy that it can be hard to believe that it’s made right at home. The first time that I made Milk Chocolate Swiss Miss Cheesecake for my family they honestly thought it was store-bought. I giggled to myself when they asked, “where did I buy it from?”. -And when I told them the key ingredient was Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate Mix their mouths dropped. They couldn’t believe that I didn’t add any other additional chocolate to this recipe since it was full of chocolate flavor.

Normally when you make a chocolate cheesecake you need melted chocolate and lots of it. Well not for this recipe you don’t. All you need is Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate Mix and a few other simple staple ingredients. Another thing that might surprise you is, “did you know that you can add hot chocolate mix to other chocolate cake recipes too”? When you need a substitute for chocolate, Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate Mix does the trick. It’s a fabulous ingredient that can be so versatile.

Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate is amazing to use when baking. It can be so effortless on your part. Adding a package or two to any holiday recipe can really save you time and money.  In fact, over this past weekend, my daughter and I used a few packages from the Swiss Miss Milk Chocolate that I found at Walmart in the hot chocolate/coffee aisle to make this delicious Milk Chocolate Cheesecake for an upcoming holiday party and one for home.

Do you want to hear about it? This recipe is so simple and you’re going to love it!

Let’s Get Started.

For this recipe you will need:

  • Three Swiss Miss Milk Chocolate Envelopes
  • Four Packages of Cream Cheese (Soften)
  • One & Half Cups of Chocolate Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • One Cup of Sugar (White)
  • Three Tablespoons of Butter (Melted)
  • One Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
  • Four Eggs (Room Temperature)
  • Marshmallows (large-size) if desired

Preparing for this holiday recipe is a walk in the park compared to other chocolate cheesecake recipes.

First, preheat your oven to 325º F. Take a food processor and add one package at a time of chocolate graham crackers to crumble. You will need,  at least  1 1/2 cups. I used a 9-inch springform pan to make my cheesecake in. I’ve always found that this type of pan works the best for cheesecakes.

In a large bowl, begin adding the ingredients.

Add four packages of (soften) cream cheese, three Swiss Miss Milk Chocolate envelopes, one tablespoon of vanilla, and one cup of sugar to the mixing bowl. Mix with a blender on low speed. Adding one egg at a time with mixing in between each egg.

In a medium-size bowl, add your graham cracker crumbles with three tablespoons of melted butter. For faster results, you can melt your butter in the microwave.

Blend together with using a fork then press onto the bottom of the pan. Bake for three minutes and remove from oven.

Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust and bake for 55 minutes or until the center is almost set. Remove from the oven, let cool then place in the fridge to cool completely and set for a minimum of three hours or longer.

While your cheesecake is in the refrigerator, make yourself and your family a yummy Milk Chocolate Milkshake by using one packet of the Swiss Miss Milk Chocolate -Hot Chocolate Mix. My daughter says it’s one of the best yet! I would have to agree with her. It’s an old-fashioned milkshake with a twist.

This recipe reminds me when my mother used to bring me to the local pharmacy (back in the day) where they actually had an ice-cream parlor in-store. I know, can you believe it? Yes, that was many, many years ago but it certainly is a fond memory that I can look back and smile at. -And that is exactly how I want my own children to feel when I share these special “treats” with them while creating these special moments.

  • Whipped Cream
  • Holiday Sprinkles to top

When I make milkshakes for my family, I will usually prepare them in a handheld blender. Nothing too over the top is needed for making milkshakes since they’re quick and easy to make.  Begin by adding 8oz of milk and one hot chocolate mix envelope. Next, add three scoops of chocolate brownie ice cream. Since my blender is rather fast, only three pulses are needed.

My family and I love when the milkshakes are thick and not so much watered down. Not to mention, super fun when drinking it from a crazy straw.

Pour the milkshake into a glass, top it off with whipped cream, then add some holiday sprinkles. That’s it! Nothing but delightful! My family loves these milkshakes and they’re so good when you pair it with a slice of Milk Chocolate Swiss Miss Cheesecake. Can you say scrumptious?

Now back to that delicious Milk Chocolate Swiss Miss Cheesecake that is waiting. As you know,  any cheesecake that you make needs to be refrigerated for a minimum of three hours or longer if you can. The longer you can keep it in the fridge the better it will be and set. But of course, it really takes a toll on your patience as it becomes a waiting game. Because if you’re like me, all I want to do is slice a piece and insert it right into my tummy.

But the wait is over my friends, it’s time to enjoy it!
