Hop into Disney during Spring!

Spread the love

It’s nothing like Spring Time in Central Florida. Our weather is getting warmer and beautiful flowers are starting to bloom. There is so much to do around Disney without the need of going into their one of the four Theme Parks.

Being a Disney Passholder, we receive several perks that are included in our yearly pass. So why not take advantage of those discounts is what I say.

Every so often my family and I go hotel hopping. It’s just something magical about each and everyone. There has been many occasions that we actually have had breakfast or lunch at one of their hotel restaurants prior to going into one of their theme parks. It’s just something special that we like to do from time to time. Whether it’s making reservations to a character breakfast, lunch, dinner or visiting an onsite cafe, there is still plenty of time to still enjoy every moment while visiting.  When we visit during a holiday season, each hotel becomes a transformation of something beautiful. One of my favorite times to visit a Walt Disney World hotel property is during Christmas and the Spring.  From the change of flowers planted to the over the top decorations, making memories or creating a photo opp with your family is something your love ones will cherish.

Since Easter will be here soon enough, we decided to take a glimpse of these remarkable Easter Eggs showcased in the lobby of the Grand Floridian Hotel.

For the past 4 years, the Grand Floridian Hotel located near the Magic Kingdom Park has displayed and hosted these wonderful Easter Eggs.

With the help of their bakery team which is led by their executive Pasty and Chef Erich Herbitschek, these one of kind picture perfect eggs are just a sample how unique and talented these Easter Eggs makers truly really are.

They were given the freedom to design their Easter Eggs as they spent over three weeks creating these edible works of art. Each egg is ornamented with edible products such as modeling chocolate, fondant, sugar floral royal icing, colored cocoa butter and sculpted sugar art pieces.

Each hollow chocolate egg weights between 9 to 12 pounds and stands 16 to 20 inches tall. Aren’t they just beautiful?

You can visiting these beautiful Easter Eggs for a limited time until April 10th.

While your visiting this gorgeous Disney Hotel, check out the marina. It’s where you can rent pontoon boats, sea racers and much more. No deposits or reservations are needed just as long they have boats available. You can rent them by increments of 30 mins to an hour and the prices start at $45 and up. Nothing like cruising in front of the Magic Kingdom Park on a warm spring day.

For more information about special events around Walt Disney World be sure to check out their website.

Thanks for visiting!

I have been to Disney a whole bunch of times, but never in the spring. I want to go see the flower show one of these years, though. It looks awesome.

We usually take the grandkids to Disney every spring, but this year we're going to St. Maarten instead. I hate I'm going to miss those beautiful eggs! It's amazing the detail and work that must have been spent on each one. Beautiful!

There are only a few things I wish I had really taken advantage of all the years I lived in Orlando, and this is one of them. I had a bunch of friends stay at the Grand Floridian and ride on a Platoon boat. I always thought it was such a cool thing to do but never made my way over there. Next time I visit this will definitely be on the list of to-dos!

Living in Costa Rica, we don't get to see the seasons change anymore. However I know what you mean about the flowers blooming and spring being in the air because it was always so obvious growing up in NJ. Glad to see Spring is upon you all!
  • Danielle @ We Have It All

We plan on moving to FL in a few years and I want nothing more than to hold season passes. My family likes to hotel hop too. I guess it helps that I love doing reviews on hotels haha. Anyway, those eggs are beautiful!
