Frosted Banana Bread Bars will become one of your favorite desserts to make this Easter season! If you’re a fan of banana bread and you’re going to love this recipe. -And honestly, you haven’t lived until you had the cream cheese frosting. It’s fluffy, light, and still adds a touch of sweetness to this already scrumptious banana bread.

The first time that I tried Frosted Banana Bread Bars was actually at a baby shower years ago. The mom-to-be was serving a brunch and these delicious treats were a hit. Have you tried them yet? You haven’t lived until you had a piece of these yummy bars. Seriously, you must try them. When I decided to make them for my family, I knew they would go crazy since everyone in the household is pretty crazy about banana bread. In fact, once I removed them from the oven, the whole family came a-running. It’s weird because normally we’re not huge fans of eating bananas but there is no denying it, Frosted Banana Bread Bars are amazing!

Banana Bread Frosted Bars

Frosted Banana Bread Bars are so simple to prepare. Unlike other desserts that you serve during Easter, these Frosted Banana Bread Bars can be prepared and baked within 35 minutes then placed in the fridge until ready to serve. Banana bread is so yummy when the bread is still warm or right from the oven but these bars taste incredible chilled.

Let’s get started. For this recipe you will need:

  • 3 medium-sized ripped bananas (mashed)
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt (pinch)

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together. begin beating each egg one at a time, add bananas, and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt to the cream mixture. Blend well. I used a mixer which helped speed up the process.

Line your 15in.x 10in. baking pan with parchment paper. I find it so much easier to remove the banana bread bars when I use parchment paper. Pour ingredients, and bake for 20 mins.
