This post was written in partnership with Norwegian Cruise Line. All opinions are my own.
Crystal blue waters on the horizon, beautiful weather temperatures year round, palm trees swaying back and forth while calypso music is playing in the background. No, you’re not dreaming, this is the Caribbean!
This is the love of the Caribbean with Norwegian Cruise Line.
Come aboard and learn why I have chosen four reasons to love Norwegian Cruise Line and what makes Norwegian Cruise Line an “award-winning” Caribbean leading cruise line.
In September as you all might have known or read about, Hurricanes Irma and Maria making landfall in the Carribean. Islands like U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico are still affected by these storms as of today. The devastation and damage that happened in these beautiful countries are totally mind-blowing. Being a resident of Florida myself, I saw Hurricane Irma up close. How close? The inner wall of Hurricane Irma was right above my county where I reside. Yes, it was very scary and I consider myself lucky compared to the residents of these islands. I can not even imagine the fear of what they have been through and how can they recover from it.
Even although the Caribbean received a direct hit from these hurricanes, most of the Caribbean Islands are now open for tourist. -And they need your help with simulating their economy.
Norwegian Cruise Lines is now sailing back to these countries. Beautiful islands like St. Croix, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, and Aruba.
One of my favorite places to vacation is in Aruba. Have you been? The port in Oranjestad, Aruba is a beautiful destination. There are many shops to chose from, including an outdoor shopping mall. From restaurants to museums along with sightseeing guided tours, there is plenty of activities to choose from.
When I visit, the first place that calls my name is Flamingo Beach. It’s an adult only private beach that welcomes roaming pink flamingos. It’s absolutely beautiful there.
Here are my four reasons to why I love Norwegian Cruise Line
They contribute when a natural disaster occurs.
Did you know that Norwegian Cruise Lines has partnered with All Hands Volunteers?
All Hands Volunteers is a non-profit relief organization that is powered by volunteers? They are the world’s leading disaster relief organization that has responded to 79 disasters worldwide to date and has helped over 500,000 individuals that have been impacted by natural disasters. Along with All Hands Volunteers, Norwegian Cruise Line set a goal to help raise $2.5 million dollars for the Hope Starts Here hurricane relief program and commits up to $1.25 million dollars in matching donations to help reconstruct schools and critical infrastructure in the Caribbean.
In the wake of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, Norwegian Cruise Line was devastation to see this loss in the Caribbean since they feel that the Caribbean is part of their family.
Norwegian Cruise Line then decided to deploy one of their ships called Norwegian Sky to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. They brought 35 pallets of much-needed supplies, and to assist in humanitarian efforts to evacuate residents and visitors. Addition to the Norwegian Sky, Norwegian also deployed one of their newest ships, the Norwegian Escape. The Norwegian Escape housed 4,000 guests that were not able to secure flights home due to the hurricanes.
Norwegian continues to help with collecting essential items which also includes medical supplies, food, water, diapers, and more!
I will have to say, none of this information surprises me. My very first cruise with my husband was on the Norwegian Sky and it was exceptional. I had the time of my life. We got to visit three different ports and one being their very own private island in the Bahamas called, Great Stirrup Cay. We received the best hospitality treatment. From room upgrades to choices in dining. We could do what we wanted when we wanted. Onshore excursions gave my husband and I some time to venture out and enjoy the scenery. But, I will never forget the experience, our memories we shared together on Norwegian Cruise Line.
Are you thinking about taking a vacation soon? Norwegian Cruises has plenty to offer. Come learn about one of their cruise destinations here.
