The Holiday seasons are upon us! Yippee! I’m so excited! I’ve been so busy planning for our family Thanksgiving trip and even more so, motivated to start cooking.
Being away from my family during the Holidays can be difficult. It’s been five years since the last time we were together so you can only imagine the excitement that is building up. For the past three years, my family and I along with our neighbors, get together before the Holiday season starts. It’s a fun night where we swap pies and even desserts. It’s similar to an ornament swap but totally edible.
During our pie swapping, each family chooses a number and the one with the lowest number will pick any pie or dessert they want. It’s a barrel full of laughs! There is a group of 20, so you just know things can get wild.
I remember the first year we joined our neighbors for the pie swap. Oh my gosh, one of my neighbors made a Grinch pie and totally left just the crust. I was in tears because at the end of our swap the pie went back to the original owner. This group gets so creative when making desserts and pies. If they can think of it, they will make it! Specially when it comes to hacks.
Just the other day when I was shopping at Walmart I thought of a great recipe idea. My family loves Caramel Cheesecake and Marie Callender’s® Dessert Pies, so I just knew that my Caramel Apple Pie Cheesecake would be a hit for our pie swap.
So before leaving the store, I picked up Marie Callender’s® Dutch Apple Pie , Reddi-wip® and the rest of my ingredients.
When the comes to baked apple pies specially those that are made from scratch, my family goes nuts over them. I will say, it’s my favorite pie to serve doing the Holiday season. I’m just in love with how many different ways you can make them.
Dutch Apple Pie is certain one that I enjoy the most. The brown strudel topping is crisp and golden to perfection. It’s pure scrumptious!
Have you ever noticed how baked pies bring people together during the Holidays? I certainly have. Having a delicious pie or dessert after dinner honestly completes your meal. If your adding more pleasure to that already delicious pie then Reddi-wip® Original is a must! Honestly, I can’t have one without the other. Well, I can but Reddi-wip ® taste so amazing doesn’t it? So creamy!
I just love this time of the year for crafts don’t you? It’s so gratifying to see your home sprinkled with so much happiness. Homemade or DIY Christmas decorations have always been my favorite. Walking into my home during the Holiday season brings me and my children so much joy. It’s something that I take pride in doing specially when I see the excitement in the kids eyes.
One of my crafts that I love making each year is my Candy Christmas Trees. They’re so simple, classy and affordable to make.
For my Candy Christmas Trees you will need White Styrofoam Cones (you can find them at any craft store such as Michael’s or Hobby Lobby), colorful Spice Drops, Red & Green Peppermints and glue. I had the candle holders but you can also find them at Michael’s. Using the glue gun for this craft makes it so much easier. It takes less time and certainly is less messy.
When you start to glue the Peppermints, start at the bottom and work your way up. I did every other flavor (color) to give it an whimsical appearance. You can certainly do just one flavor (color) and it will look just as beautiful. Just remember after you place the glue on the back of these Peppermints they’re no longer edible.
Once the Peppermint Christmas Trees was complete, I started making the Spice Drops Christmas Tree. This time, I used a smaller size White Styrofoam Cone.
Start by placing your Spice Drops from the top of your cone then go down. I found it easier to start at the top because of the size of these candies.
So what do you think? Don’t these Candy Christmas Trees look incredible! I love how they turned out! So festive for the Holiday season and ready to be placed on any mantel or used as a centerpiece for your Holiday table.
Did you happen to check out that amazing Caramel Cheesecake?
This super rich Caramel Apple Pie Cheesecake is still calling my name and is waving “Hello Friends”. It’s just oozing with sweetness! By adding scoops of my baked Marie Callender’s® Dutch Apple Pie to this already amazing Caramel Cheesecake makes it simply irresistible! Drizzle more of that yummy caramel and top it off with Reddi-wip® and pecans puts you right into a happy place.
Can you now see why I choose Reddi-wip® Original to top off my Caramel Apple Pie Cheesecake? Doesn’t it look so enjoyable?
When it comes right down to it. Baking this fabulous Cheesecake might bring some drools but it’s one that you look forward to year after year and of course you’re “acts of pie-ness” will be appreciated when you share it! Marie Callender’s® Dessert Pies has the best options when it comes to preparing your desserts quickly. There are so many variations to bake while you’re hosting your Holiday party or get together.
Combining these delightful flavors together is certainly the way to celebrate the upcoming Holiday season.
For me, the Holiday season is a time to be thankful and giving. It’s such a refreshing feeling to bake something sweet for your friends and family members. It’s from the heart and they will appreciate it!
Whether you’re hosting a dinner at your home or attending one, this delicious Caramel Apple Pie Cheesecake will have them talking around the table.
