Just recently, I’ve had a strange obsession with gingersnap cookies and I have no idea why.  For the life of me, I couldn’t understand why I have passed up on these cookies.  I’ve been missing out big time. I love them and they’re my favorite go-to cookie. Cookies in general, are just so scrumptious. Wouldn’t you agree? Nothing puts a smile back on my face and even for my family members too!  We just gobble them right up. Do you know what else we also love having around the holidays? Cheesecake.  Oh. my friends what’s the holiday season without a slice or two of delicious cheesecake. -And by golly,  how about cheesecake bars? I absolutely love to make them for my family. So this year, I decided to make them but I wanted to add something different rather than the normal graham cracker crust that I use. So…

A Special message of Thanksgiving Just the thought of the holidays arriving soon gets me so excited. Ekk! Can you tell?I can’t wait! I’m in love with this time of the year. It brings a smile to my face just thinking about my family sitting around the table together at Thanksgiving.   Like many, Thanksgiving is truly a time of gathering and giving thanks for all our loved ones and especially the food that we’re about to receive. As you guys might not have known, last Thanksgiving was the last holiday that I got to spend with my mom before she passed away. It was the last big holiday that my family and siblings spent together. Even although my family lived close by to our mother, I, however, did not. So on my end, it took some planning and saving to get my own family there for this special holiday.…

Say goodbye to summer, say hello to my Sweet Potato Bread with Candied Pecans.   Okay, everyone, I’m taking the plunge. I’m officially saying goodbye to summer and hello to the season of Fall. I know that many of you are thinking, wait.. hold your breaks. The season of Fall hasn’t begun yet. I totally agree it hasn’t, but I couldn’t help myself. I’m craving sweet tasting recipes and that yummy aroma that fills your kitchen with love especially when you’re talking about baking. My children have been back to school for three weeks now and I’ve had the fever to start decorating my home for Fall ever since. -And, when I started to think about pulling all of my decorations out, I changed my mind real quick. I guess you can say, I’m not in the mood just yet for decorating. But I am in the mood for something…

Frosted Banana Bread Bars will become one of your favorite desserts to make this Easter season! If you’re a fan of banana bread and you’re going to love this recipe. -And honestly, you haven’t lived until you had the cream cheese frosting. It’s fluffy, light, and still adds a touch of sweetness to this already scrumptious banana bread. The first time that I tried Frosted Banana Bread Bars was actually at a baby shower years ago. The mom-to-be was serving a brunch and these delicious treats were a hit. Have you tried them yet? You haven’t lived until you had a piece of these yummy bars. Seriously, you must try them. When I decided to make them for my family, I knew they would go crazy since everyone in the household is pretty crazy about banana bread. In fact, once I removed them from the oven, the whole family…

A piece of my Milk Chocolate Swiss Miss Cheesecake and a chilled Chocolate Milkshake is exactly how I want to indulge during the holiday season near the fireplace.     Mmm, there is nothing like my Milk Chocolate Swiss Miss Cheesecake around the holiday season. It can instantly put you in a good mood after one bite. This cheesecake is so rich and creamy that it can be hard to believe that it’s made right at home. The first time that I made Milk Chocolate Swiss Miss Cheesecake for my family they honestly thought it was store-bought. I giggled to myself when they asked, “where did I buy it from?”. -And when I told them the key ingredient was Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate Mix their mouths dropped. They couldn’t believe that I didn’t add any other additional chocolate to this recipe since it was full of chocolate flavor. Normally when you make…

Santa’s present this year, make him Christmas Present Brownies.   Christmas Present Brownies have been an icon in my home for many years. During the holiday season, it’s one special “treat” that I make for my children. Although, these Christmas Present Brownies have a special message this year. In my home, we believe in Santa Claus.  It’s a family tradition that Santa Claus brings presents to nice little girls and boys.   Waking up Christmas morning to see what “Santa” has left brings so much joy in their hearts and mine. My children who are 8 and 11 years old have decided that this year, they will make another child’s Christmas special. Who do you ask? By writing a letter to Santa and asking him to skip our house this year. -And here is why.   Both of my children receive gifts from my husband and I, plus they receive small gifts from…
