Now that the Holidays have come and gone, it’s been a goal for me and my family to eat healthier. I believe that we all try to stay away from those tasty desserts and late night snacks after the Holidays but finding meals that my whole family can agree on be frustrating. Especially the ones that can save me time in the kitchen without sacrificing the taste. In my household, I have picky eaters. I’ve found creating “one bowl” meals are a big hit with my family. Even the kids, enjoy it. They know with this type of meal, it saves me time in the kitchen. -And, who wouldn’t like that?
So when I was shopping at Walmart the other day, I was thinking about what should I pick up for dinner. I had a craving for a tasty salad. But with my kids in mind, and knowing how they feel about leafy salads, I decided to make a whole grain pasta salad with grilled chicken. Oh, it’s so good! Especially when I add some of my favorite vegetables like tomatoes, spinach and feta cheese. Sounds great doesn’t it?
Now, in my opinion, pasta salads can be so flavorful when you add your favorite dressings. But like most will agree, not all salad dressings taste well with pasta. So when I walking down the salad dressing aisle at Walmart, I thought to myself, Wish-Bone® Regular Italian Dressing would be perfect for this recipe. That is when I seen a coupon. Save $.75 on ANY ONE (1) Tyson® Grilled & Ready Chicken, I just knew where I was heading next.

Simple. Delicious. A balanced meal that is full of protein and flavor.
First, I started preparing my pasta as directed on the package. I substituted regular pasta with whole grain and it was also high in protein. I’ll be honest, I couldn’t taste the difference. Which won this mom of four over.
Another must have addition to your pasta salad is grape tomatoes, fresh spinach leaves, and crumbled feta cheese. The combination of all these flavors together with Tyson® Grilled and Ready Chicken Strips and Wish-Bone® Regular Italian Dressing makes this salad complete. It’s robust full flavor is jam packed with herbs, seasonings for an extra zesty boost and no high fructose corn syrup.
