With many Americans anticipate with those rock bottom deals of Black Friday and Cyber Monday Do you know that Americans will spend close to $89 billion dollars this holiday season? That certainly is tons of money. Even though it’s a act of kindness when purchasing all the gifts for your loved ones, although is doing so a true act of giving?
I am sure that you will agree, many of your recipients of those gifts, expect it. I can surely name a handful myself. Needless to say, it can certainly ruin that vibe doesn’t it ?
Giving Tuesday’s goal is to change just that!
“In the Black Friday and Cyber Monday’s predatory wake, Giving Tuesday is a day dedicated to true giving. Giving Tuesday’s goal is to boost humanity rather than the economy”.
“So, how can you participate? On Giving Tuesday (the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, December 2nd, 2014), give time or money to a cause or person you care about. Buy a trailing customer’s morning coffee to warm and brighten her winter day. Rake your grandparents’ residual leaves before snow blankets their yard. Contribute cash to a non-profit that researches and increases awareness for a disease affecting a loved one.”
You can find a way to help this season then now is a perfect time!
On the website of the GiveForward website, is where you can start and create your own fundraiser or find GiveForward precipitants that desperately need your help. In most cases, those that are requesting your donations have a life long medical condition or illness.
You can also create and start your own fundraising for a loved right from the GiveForward website. We all know through someones darkest times, there is always people that are generous and thoughtful year round to help. Just like the personal coaching that you will receive from GiveForward. These wonderful individuals located in Chicago, Illinois are there to help and guide you through this whole process. They are available to give you all the help and support that is needed by phone, email or live chat.
Telling your story can be overwhelming and very personal for some but you have that option of giving up to date information about the recipients progress and goals. Your fundraising page is your blog, your support system and most of all, your ability to change someone’s life.
This holiday season, I pledge to give more back to others who are in need. No donation is too small! Having a safe and secure place to donate and know that you and your family are helping others is the best feeling in the world.
On this Tuesday, I challenge you to do just the same. We encourage you to support a cause just like The Shah’s. Come read Andrew’s story and learn how you can help this wonderful family.
A Season of Giving, a True act of Kindness can take place everyday but this Tuesday is wonderful time to get others aware of this amazing way of giving back!
At this time, I am asking my readers to do the same. Reach out, Be Generous, Be Kind, Be thoughtful and remember it starts with you!
