As parents of toddlers, we’ve all experienced how potty training can be. These long drought out messy situations makes parents what to pull their hair out. Trust me I get it, I know what you’re going through but it will get better and it will happen. In the meantime, here are three must haves that are extremely helpful to have on hand and to use.
Having children of the opposite sex can be quite challenging when it comes to potty training. I remember so clearly that my boys were quick learners when it came to potty training. Granted, we carried around their potty chair in all rooms in my house but hey it worked. Now don’t me wrong, it’s like night and day when it comes to potty training boys vs girls although nothing helps them more than reminders.
Honestly, I think that I said “Do you have to go to the bathroom” so much when the twins were little that I was saying it in my dreams. But it works. Consistent reminder truly helps them and is a must for parents to do.
With my daughter, it’s a totally different approach. I’ve bribed her, made promises to buy her new toys, gave her a book to look at, purchased her a new princess potty and nothing seemed to work. I started to realize that she was actually afraid to sit on her potty. My poor baby was scared. That is when I decided to use Pull-Ups® training pants on her. When I questioned myself why was she afraid, I just couldn’t figure it out until my husband said, well you’re placing a new diaper on her after sitting on the potty, why don’t you try Pull-Ups® instead.
At first, I looked at my husband and said it’s like doing the same thing isn’t it? My friends, it certainly is not. You see, Pull-Ups® are very similar to diapers but with Pull-Ups® children feel more independent when putting them on. My daughter felt like a “big” girl that she could do it all by herself.
That is when I started purchasing Pull-Ups® for her at Sam’s Club®. Buying in bulk allows me to save money and constant trips to the store. I am able to have enough on hand to last and when those potty accidents happen. -And I will tell you, after figuring out our potty training issue she was willing and ready to go. As we all know, potty training takes patience and in due time, our children will show signs and let us know they’re ready but until then, I am so happy that it’s working.
On my last run to Sam’s Club®, I also decided to pick up Cottonelle® FreshCare® Flushable Cleansing Cloths. As a mom, I want to make sure that my daughter and children feel clean after going to the potty and with using Cottonelle® FreshCare® Flushable Cleansing Cloths they do. These cloths are super soft to the touch and when used with the Pull-Ups® training pants, gives parents a whole new way of looking at potty training. -And get this, I even received the cutest Dr. McStuffins backpack in the Pull-Ups® box for free.
Are you a member of Sam’s Club®? Did you know that Sam’s Club® offers club pick up? Place your orders online then pick up your order right inside the store. Yup, they do the shopping for you. I love this service since it saves me even more time as I can just run in, pay for my order and go. Do you know what’s great? With purchasing both products of Cottonelle® FreshCare® and Pull-Ups® training pants, members will receive a $10 e-gift card from Sam’s Club®. -And that wasn’t enough, Sam’s Club® is offering my readers a chance to win $500 Gift Card by just sharing a family photo.
