I am so excited to go boating again in the summer. It’s such a relaxing time for my family and I to enjoy. Being on the open sea, pond or lake just brings me to a happy place where I never want to leave. Have you ever been? Oh, if you haven’t then it’s time to Discover Boating!
Since Summer is near, this is the time we start thinking of fun activities to do that includes our children and boating is one of them. Just a few months ago, we rented a boat for the day. It wasn’t planned but we were visiting an area in Florida and noticed they had Platoon Boats ( I call them Party Boats) to rent. It was one of those moments that I looked at my husband and we both shook our head to yes. I can’t even begin to tell you how happy my children were to this sudden surprise. When I told them that we rented a boat they instantly thought I rented a canoe or something to that sort. But when they first took a look at the 12 passenger boat, all four of my kids were over the moon about it. Specially when they seen it had an in-dash music radio. Yes, you guessed it we were jam’n out on the lake!
We loved it so much that I told my husband someday we will own one of these boats. I guess you can say that I was highly impressed of how the boat handled the waters even with other people using jet skies around us. It was so calm and relaxing just cruising around.
My husband, my 18 year old twins and I each took the boat for a spin. I was pretty amazed how easy it was to drive. I am happy to admit that we all took turns being the captain of this vessel for at least this one special day. It was a wonderful memory that began spontaneously but created so many memories for us.
Many friends including other people we speak to about boating, just don’t know where to start or begin on the water. That is when I introduced them to Discover Boating.
Discover Boating is a national program to help people get on the water and to experience the fun in boating. As I already mentioned, many of my friends don’t know where to turn to so having Discover Boating as a reference or a guide provides a great source of information for them.
On their website, you will find an interactive tool that features all things boating, a boat selector guide, cost comparison tool and even rent options. -Plus if you have questions about boating education courses or just need to view some how- to- videos, you can find additional information on their site.
Just look at this Discover Boating video on how boating connects with families along with ways to bond and capture those special moments.
Have you ever wondered what type of boat would be perfect for you and your family?
Even if you never experienced being on a boat before you must at least put it on your bucket list. It’s amazing and I can wait to do it again!
What are your favorite boating memories? Have you been on a cruise or boat before?
I would love to hear your stories!
Thanks for visiting!
