Oz The Great and Powerful Movie Review

A few days ago, I had a wonderful opportunity to review this premiere of Oz The Great and Powerful in Digital 3D by Walt Disney Pictures. Starting on March 8th, Oz The Great and Powerful will be released in theaters nationwide.

This is a number #1 film of the year in my opinion.

I was totally blown away with the 3D effects and how it made me feel I was apart of the movie.

Just awesome!

“This amazing fantasy adventure takes place when Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot, fame and fortune are his for the taking in the land of Oz. That is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity and even a bit of wizardry. Oscar transforms himself not only into the great wizard but into a better man as well.”

This motion picture was nothing like the Wizard of Oz. There was no Tin Man, Lion or Scarecrow but this movie had its own yellow brick road followers. Oz had to make some choices between what was right or what was easy. This film is an action packed, full of drama and twists that will keep you in suspense. Like many films there is an epic battle between good, evil and who will win the day. Be prepared to be glued into your seat because you never know who will be a good witch or a bad witch..

Walt Disney Pictures has brought the best when making this film. The digital picture was so clear and precise.I believe this film would be enjoyed by all. There are a few parts that makes this movie rated PG.
