Are you counting down the days until Christmas? We in this family love to celebrate Christmas in our own special way and certainly, counting down until the day is something that we love to do. Nothing beats seeing your family and friends so joyous during the Holiday season. That happiness just lingers throughout each one of us. You know what makes me happy around Christmas? My delicious Hazelnut Hot Cocoa with drizzled Chocolate.
Oh my Gawd! One sip of this delicious hot cocoa puts me right into the spirit of Christmas. This stuff just warms my heart I’ll tell ya.
What I also enjoy doing around the Holidays is making DIY home decorations by including ornaments with them. For me, Christmas ornaments are sentimental and are heartfelt to those who receive or give them. They certainly do pull the season together in such a classic and unique way. From placing them on your Christmas Tree, wreaths, garland and even attaching them to gifts, truly can make a statement. Whether your baking desserts for teachers, neighbors or friends, I love finding a way to use the perfect ornament that complements that gift.
When I was shopping at Walmart the other day I came across Hallmark Ornaments. I couldn’t believe my eyes. They had 16 Walmart exclusives, resin figurines, Holiday Barbie and these pretty cool new deco figurines. Normally, I would of just went to my local Hallmark store to pick up my ornaments but I was pretty excited to see them there.
So when I was looking through all these wonderful Hallmark Ornaments at Walmart, I seen an ornament that would go perfectly with my Hazelnut Hot Cocoa recipe. Since my daughter’s teacher loves Minnie Mouse and also loves to bake, I just knew instantly it was the one. If your looking for another option on how to “Wow” you’re gift recipient, add a special Hallmark greeting card along with your beautiful Hallmark Ornament.
One of things that I sure do love when making homemade gifts is adding my very own Hazelnut Hot Cocoa mixture. It’s something sweet that they can enjoy with their own families or during some relaxing alone time.
For my Hazelnut Hot Cocoa mixture, I used simple ingredients such as 100% pure cocoa, milk, hazelnut creamer, sugar, whipped cream and chocolate hazelnut syrup. This mixture can be made before hand which will save you tons of time before gift giving.
First, I grabbed my small saucepan then poured one and half cups of milk into it. I found it tastes so much better using milk than water but it’s a personal preference.
Next, I added one tablespoon of hazelnut creamer into the milk. While your milk and creamer is simmering on low heat, grab yourself a coffee mug and place one tablespoon of cocoa and sugar inside.
Once you notice the milk starting to boil, remove it from the stove and pour slowly inside your cup. Stir your ingredients together until the mixture is smooth.
Ohh La La! Here comes the best part. Whipped Cream! Oh Yes!
Don’t ya just love hot cocoa topped with whipped cream. I definitely do. Drizzle some heavenly hazelnut chocolate syrup and enjoy.
And if that wasn’t enough, grab yourself some plastic spoons, marshmallows and melt a piece of chocolate almond bar on the stove or microwave and you got yourself some unbelievable chocolate covered spoons to go with it.
Hello! Ahh-mazing right?
Another way to showcase Hallmark Ornaments this year is an DIY Winter Wonderland Glass Terrarium. Making these classy Holiday decorations are so easy to do it’s silly. Add some snow, trees, mini lights and even glittery birds along with a Hallmark Ornament and you got a beautiful decoration for Christmas. Place it on a mantel or even a table and your room becomes so festive for the Holidays. Isn’t Father Christmas just gorgeous?
So as you can see, there are many ways to showcase these beautiful ornaments from Hallmark. Whether your decorating your Christmas tree or giving one as gift to a loved one, these Hallmark Ornaments are the perfect choice during the Holiday season.
My children look forward in giving my Hazelnut Hot Cocoa recipe as gifts to their teachers. They know how delightful the taste is and can’t wait for their teachers to try it too. Adding a Hallmark Ornament to the already homemade gift, is just another way to let someone know you care and thinking about them around the Holiday season. Attach the ornaments to a coffee cup, mason jar or even a decorative bag that is full with hot cocoa mix is the perfect way to gift giving.
