I am always on the hunt for new apps for my children. Looking for them that are not only educational but fun and user friendly can be hard at times. My daughter loves to play with hands on learning activities such as our i-Pad Tablet. This is perfect for her specially when choosing her apps to play. I found using technology and apps as a learning tool to be quite effective for my children.
Here are three learning apps that are not only free but they’re the latest apps from Kids Academy Co. These apps are available on i-Tunes for i-Phone or i-Pad.
Bingo ABC’s alphabet phonic song with farm animals cards: Not only is this the cutest app but it’s great for my kindergartener as she is learning these songs in school. I like it a lot. Very stimulating for her to enjoy. It uses music and a song that teaches your children through creative learning. It has classic songs like B-I-N-G-O just like I remember when I was her age. The app has a adorable black and white dog called Bingo and a little girls voice can be heard in the background singing. While the song plays, the word “Bingo” appears on the screen too. Which helps my daughter spell or sound out the word. You can certainly clap along and stomp your feet just like my little girl did. She loved it! You also had the option to purchase more features for an additional fee. Great app for little ones!
ABC’s Alphabet Phonics & Montessori Learn to Read App: This app teaches your young one different styles of learning skills including tracing, mazes, rhyming words and letters. My daughter is learning upper case letters in school and I thought that this app was a great source for extra help or practice. One of the features that I admired was the maze. It’s pretty easy for my daughter to follow along but does require to use her thinking skills. By using your finger, you move the bone and the dog follows it . The objective is to have the dog follow the bone to the end of the maze to retrieve the item. There is also an option for you to purchase additional fun activities for your child.
Preschool and Kindergarten Learning Kids Games: This app allows children to trace the numbers with their fingers on the device or tablet. It was very easy for my daughter to follow along and was user friendly for her. In today’s age, children enjoy a more hands on learning tool such as using apps like this. I know for myself, it can be challenging to get my daughter to use a pencil and write her numbers on paper so I admired that about this app. During one exercises a alligator comes out, opens his mouth with capital and lower case “A” letter. Not only does this app teaches your children about letters but it also brings the excitement right to their finger tips. I found that this app was very helpful for my daughter who is having a hard time in school with the difference of letters.
There is also an option if you would like to purchase for additional fun and activities for a special price.
Overall, Kids Academy brings these great apps for your children. No matter what age your children are, these apps will help promote preschool and kindergarten learning for years to come.
