One of their classic toys that you might still see offered is their Easy- Bake Oven. This toy oven has just celebrated it’s 50th year anniversary. With the continuous of celebrating, Hasbro Toys has now expanded this classic line with more yummy foods, accessories and now a newer name, it’s called the Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven.
The Easy – Bake Ultimate Oven is a gem to say the least. I remember when I was a little girl it was on my top toys for Santa to bring to me. I guess you can say back then it was all about independence and cooking cakes and desserts just like my mom did. Having a Easy- Bake Oven in my younger years is a memory that can not be replaced. I remember being so excited to see that box underneath my Christmas Tree. I couldn’t wait to rip it open and start cooking. Back then, I do remember how bummed I was to learn that my mom forgot to buy the light blub that was needed to cook. Needless to say, I finally got the light and I was one happy little girl. Things have certainly changed for the better with the Easy-Bake Oven because everything that is needed is right in the box. That’s right! No light bulb is needed and you get all the necessary things for you to get started like the Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix, Cooking Pan and the Pan Tool.
Back then, the Easy-Bake oven was very plain but look at it now. It’s so modern and I love the new design located on the front. The Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven is available in colors of black or purple. As this toy is electric, no batteries are need although please use caution because it does get hot inside. The outside of the oven is cool to the touch but remember parents this toy is something I recommend you observing your child doing. The Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven is recommended for children ages 8 years old and up. Being that my daughter is five, I was right there with her as she cooked and make her cookies.
On the front of the oven there is only two options to cook which is the on and off knob. This option makes is safe and easy for children to do without having to worry what temperature is needed to bake your tasty treats at. On each side of the oven you will see two open slots. One is for sliding your cooking pan into and the other shows indication of it being “HOT”.
The pan tool is made out of hard plastic and it can be used to take your cookies out of the baking pan with ease. As for the chocolate chip cookie mix, just follow the simple directions located on the front of the package, mix together and your done.
I couldn’t even begin to tell you how excited my daughter was to see the results. She was filled with joy and showed a laughter like no other. It was very nice to see her so happy. Just like I showed my mom when I was a little girl.
Overall, the Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven is a perfect way to show and teach your children how important cooking with safety is. The Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven is something you can do with family and your childrens friends. Hasbro has many different varieties of dessert refills that you can purchase separately including their new chocolate cake pop kit and pans. The best part is enjoying all these great home cooked treats that your children made so proudly!
The Easy Bake Ultimate Oven retails for $54.99 on the Hasbro Toy Shop website.
