It’s official, the big game is right around the corner. Did your favorite team make it to the playoffs? Needless to say, even if your team is not part of game day, we still love watching football and especially love celebrating with fun foods and snacks.-And what a better way to start rooting on your team with fresh Avocados from Mexico and Dinner Kits from Old El Paso. That’s right your own Game Day Taco Bar with Old El Paso™. Sounds amazing right?
Let’s face it, game day is not only about watching your favorite team play, but it’s also about delicious foods that you serve. For me, it all starts with a group of us together. Celebrating On game day wouldn’t be the same without our rowdy friends and family members. We get so excited to root on our team. When entertaining, it’s a must to make sure you’re guests are enjoying the game along with you serving their favorite foods. So preparing simple foods that we could all enjoy together makes game day more enjoyable.
Just the other day when shopping at my local Publix store, I decided to make my Game Day Taco Bar. One of the things that I like to do is make my Old El Paso™ Soft Taco Bake® along with making a Taco Stadium with Old El Paso™ Soft Taco Dinner Kit.
I grabbed a few boxes, some fresh Avocados from Mexico and other ingredients that I needed before heading home.
It’s Game Day and I’m super excited to start cooking! First I started by preparing as directed on the box, my Old El Paso™ Taco Bake®. Have you tried them? Oh man, it’s so cheesy!
In my skillet on medium heat, I placed in one and a half pounds of hamburger meat. Chopping the meat into crumbles until fully cooked.
Then added water as required from the box and Old El Paso™ Seasoning that was included. Mix well.
Next, I used a springform pan to place in the flour tortillas. I found by using this pan keeps all my ingredients together. I placed down one tortilla then hamburger mixture, the included cheese sauce, and shredded mexican cheese. I repeated this step 3 times before adding the final tortilla, hamburger mixture then topped it with more shredded cheese and garnished it with green onions. Place it in the oven for 10-15 minutes and it’s ready to serve hot right from the oven.
Doesn’t this Soft Taco Bake look amazing? It was jammed packed with melted cheese. So tasty! My family goes absolutely nuts over this dinner kit. The best part, it’s so easy to make and you’re guests will love it!
With this Soft Taco Bake® from Old El Paso™, I decided to serve it just like you would a pie. Although, you can cut it into squares and this dish will still be perfect to serve on game day.
Bring on the chips, salsa, cheese, fresh tomatoes and shredded lettuce, jalapeno slices, cheese sauces and soft tacos. Oh mercy me! It’s time for a Game Day Taco Bar. My Taco Bar Stadium has all the condiments that you’re guests will love. You can’t forget about your homemade guacamole dip from those fresh avocados from Mexico. So delicious!
It’s time to Party! Having a Taco Bar at your next gathering makes celebrating and rooting for your team that much fun. Your guests will love how you set up the table with easy meal creations from Old El Paso™ dinner kits and football novelties.
If you can’t personally be at The Big Game, the next best thing is having your friends over to watch their favorite team win!
So tell me, How do you celebrate the Big Game?
