Lately, I’ve been in a cooking rut especially since I have a lazy Summer on the brain. Honestly, the very last thing I want is cooking or preparing a meal for my family that requires me to stand in a hot kitchen for hours. I want to serve something quick and easy to make. I will admit, there is only so many hot dogs and hamburgers that one can consume in a Summers time so I’ve been thinking of new ways to cook the same ole same ole and that is when I thought of chicken wings. My husband loves them, kids will devour them and the best part, they can be cooked and served within an hour.
One of my go-to recipes for chicken wings is my Foil-Packet Grilled Jerk Chicken Wings. Oh, my! These babies are so good. I love cooking them on the grill. One of easiest meals you can make in a short moments time.
For this recipe I used store bought frozen chicken wing sections. Umm, hello! Picking up a package of them is a no-brainer. If you do decide to use fresh chicken wings for this recipe be sure to remove the wings before applying the dry jerk seasoning rub.
Speaking of this delicious jerk seasoning, you can also find it at your local grocery store.
Let’s get started. First, preheat your grill on high.
Next, take your chicken wing selections and place them on your large sheet of heavy-duty foil on a flat surface. Drizzle your chicken wings with vegetable oil. Covered both sides of the wings. Sprinkle the jerk seasoning on top of your chicken. Toss until each wing is covered with seasoning.
Take each side of your foil and bring it to the middle of the packet for closure. You may fold twice to seal. Leave a small opening for steam. Grill for 3o minutes with turning and flipping the packet twice or until the wings are completely cooked throughout.
Remove your wings from the grill with caution. Your packet will be hot. Sprinkle with some fresh herbs like cilantro or garnish with parsley. Take a few sliced limes or hand squeeze a lime wedge over your Grilled Jerk Chicken Wings.
So tell me, what is one of your meals that tastes great cooked on the grill?
