Who doesn’t love a family movie night? We certainly do. It’s not something we get to do often in-between our busy lifestyles but when the new Blu-Ray™ DVD Combo Pack release of Disney•Pixar’s Inside Out comes available, How can you not cherish these times together?
Inside out is the perfect movie to watch with the family. Not only is it hilarious but the characters of Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, Disgust, Bing Bong and Riley are just the cutest emotions to watch.
You see, Joy (voice of Amy Poehler ), Sadness (voice of Phyllis Smith) , Anger (voice of Lewis Black ), Fear (voice of Bill Hader ) , Disgust (voice of Mindy Kaling ) have their own distinct personalities. Oh yes, they’re full of emotions!
Have you ever wondered what’s going on in someone’s head? (Ha-Ha) Yes me too!
The story begins when Riley (voice of Kaitlyn Dias) is uprooted from her Minnesota lifestyle and moves with her family to San Francisco, California. She also brings her emotions, Sadness, Anger, Fear, Disgust and Joy (her most important emotion).
When Riley’s emotions “hit the fan” watch out! That is when these five emotions start to disagree on how to deal with this change that Riley is going through. It causes problems up in Headquarters, the center living and work place for these five emotions.
Joy has been the number one emotion since day one. She cares deeply for Riley and only wants to see her happy and to stay positive. So when 11 year old Riley struggles at her new life in San Francisco, her emotions conflict into a chaos turmoil. It’s when Joy starts focusing and controlling Sadness emotions to keep her away from the core memory. You see, these shiny golden orbs represent “happiness” and when Sadness touches them they turn blue and ruins Riley’s mood.
Even though Joy tries to keep things positive it’s hard for her to understand why it’s ok for Riley’s emotions to change.
“Inside Out” is rated PG (Parental Guided Suggested). My kids loved it and so didn’t I.
At first I couldn’t understand the logic of Sadness. I wanted to reach into the screen and tell her to stop touching the core memories. (Ha-Ha). I mean, we all love to be happy but who are we to judge and say a good cry every once in awhile is not a good thing either.
This movie is funny, vibrant, full of color and surprises an absolutely delight! I believe that younger viewers will have a blast watching the new Inside Out movie on Blu-Ray™ DVD Combo Pack.
