Now that the weather is finally getting warmer, I can not begin to tell you how this excites me. Just the thought of school ending, those late nights of cooking dinner in the kitchen, and hustling to get everything done in a day’s time, is almost a thing of the past. With Summer beginning soon, the excitement is only building up in this household. Oh yes, those lazy and relaxing days are upon us and you know what? I can not wait!
One of the things that are a must and is so helpful to me during Spring and Summer is preparing quick and easy to make recipes. I truly don’t believe there is not a mom who doesn’t. I believe that most of the time we just want to kick back like the rest and enjoy that deserved extra time. But when you have a family of 6 with different appetites it can make it stressful to think of ideas on what to serve. My family loves when I’m creating one bowl meals and you know what? Who am I to pass judgment, it does save this mom time in the kitchen so it’s a win-win for me.
When I was shopping at Walmart the other day, I was thinking of ideas on what to make for dinner. My husband requested something light, my daughter wanted chicken and my sons were craving bacon. And at that time, I was pondering on making each separately then I thought, how about a Crispy Chicken Apple Salad with Bacon. It’s a simple dish that the whole family would enjoy. For me, I always loved mixed green salads so adding diced cucumbers and sliced red onions would be perfect addition to this recipe.
Salads are so tasty in the Spring or Summer but adding Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips gives my children high-quality protein without me sacrificing much effort.
So as I was grabbing a bag of Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips, I noticed a special on the package sticker offer for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows movie. When you purchase any 2 participating Tyson®, Ball Park®, State Fair®, or Jimmy Dean® products at Walmart, you get a movie ticket to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows in theaters June 3rd.
This couldn’t come at a better time since school is ending next month and the kids would love to see Michelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo and Donatello on the big screen.
And the best part, just snap a picture of your receipt and you’re done. So simple!
So before checking out, I also picked up Ball Park® Flame Grilled Patties along with the rest of my ingredients before heading home.
Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips is a picnic to prepare. They’re so delicious and fully cooked with healthy protein from white meat chicken. Being made with 100% all natural ingredients, Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips can be paired with just about anything. There are so many different ways to use them in a meal and since Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips are good for you and your family, you truly can not go wrong with serving them.
My Crispy Chicken Apple Salad with Bacon is one that your family and guests will love. It’s a tasty dish that brings all the cravings during Spring and Summer in one bowl. Some will agree that salads can be a boring meal to serve but adding Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips gives it so much flavor. My family was so pleased to see some of their special requests in this healthy meal.
Simple and easy to make meals deserves recognition especially one that is full of fiber, protein, and flavor.
I started preparing my Crispy Chicken Apple Salad with Bacon by dicing up my Red & Green Apple slices to small pieces. Next, I began to fry the bacon slices until crispy. I also found it easy to cut each slice of bacon in half when frying. It saves time cooking and gives you just the right amount of cooked bacon to crumble on your salad.
Next, I grabbed my cucumber, and red onion then began to chop and dice into small pieces.
Taking a large bowl, I poured my mix green organic salad package inside of it. Adding my diced apples, onions, and cucumber then gave it a good toss.
For this recipe, I placed my Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips in a preheated oven for 14 minutes. Since the Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips are fully cooked, all you need to do is heat them up. Simple and hassle-free!
After the Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips were removed from the oven, I began to cut the chicken into strips and place them inside the bowl. Take your sliced lemon and give it a nice squeeze over your salad. Crumble 6 pieces of cooked bacon on top of your salad.
I can’t even begin to tell you how much my family loved this salad. Oh my gosh, it was so delicious! So fresh and healthy but most of all, so simple and effortless to make. Pairing the Crispy Chicken Apple Salad with Bacon and Ball Park® Flame Grilled Patties is the perfect way to serve a good meal. Serve it on a fresh bakery hamburger bun with mixed green leafy lettuce and your family will love it!
So if you’re looking for a tasty protein meal to serve this Spring or Summer try my Crispy Chicken Apple Salad with Bacon. Preparing a delicious meal that doesn’t take much time to do and one the whole family will love.
