As parents, life has many bittersweet moments when it comes to our children. We have seen our children succeed and press through those trial and error milestones even when those mishap moments do happen. We are supportive and have always provided the best to our abilities, the guidance that each child needs.
Many of us have learned that being a parent takes patience. Especially when your child takes one step back before moving forward. -And you know what? That is ok. Because in life, each child’s development is diverse and unique.
Being a mother of four amazing children and two of them being fraternal twins, I’ve experienced individual delays in their milestones. We have learned that with each delay, triumph is only right around the corner. So that is why I’m so motivated to turn those mishap moments into happy ones with my daughter. Because, in the end, your actions as a parent will make a difference on your child’s progress.
-And Goodnites® is a wonderful way to start.
Did you know that Goodnites® is a leader in nighttime protection for children? In fact, no one understands more about bed wetting accidents more than Goodnites®. One of the reasons why I choose Goodnites® over any other brand is because you can turn those mishap moments into happy ones. With their age appropriate designs and protection, it most certainly will take those embarrassment moments and turn them into happy ones.
Goodnites® along with having Huggies Simply Clean Wipes on hand, keeps my daughter free of worries. Do you know what? Purchasing both of these items at my local Walmart Neighborhood Market saves me time and money when using coupons. Getting an exceptionable value for less Plus shopping locally gives my pocketbook something to smile and be happy about.
Turning any mishap moment into a happy one allows parents to promise and encourage their children no matter at what age they are, that it’s ok. Turning an embarrassment moment for them into a positive one works every time.
Here are three ways to help you turn those mishap moments into happy ones.
Parents on many occasions when bedwetting accidents does occur, it’s merely because your child is tired. I know when my daughter falls asleep after a run of a muck kind of day, the odds of her not waking up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom will increase the chances of an accident. Can you blame them? They’re tired, and their body is exhausted so the urge of getting up to use the restroom is the last thought that comes to mind.
When my daughter has one of those days, I immediately ask her to place on her Goodnites®. It doesn’t happen often, but it happens. So when it does, I am always prepared. Goodnites® is called bedtime underwear in my home. I make it a point for her to know and recognize the difference.
Another example for parents is to try to use compassion when those mishap moments happen. Take all the time you need to explain to your child that accidents happen and ask what could we do together to help resolve this issue. Many children have no control of bedwetting but talking it over with them before bedtime does help. My daughter realizes that those uncomfortable and uncontrollable times during the night is not her fault and that, these moments can be changed into happy ones in no time.
So tell me, what have you done to turn those mishap moments into happy ones?
I would love to hear your tips!
