It’s cranberry season folks! And we just can’t get enough of it. Just ask my son who will gobble up a can of cranberry sauce himself. Honestly, I can not blame him. Cranberries make recipes that much sweeter and extremely fun to prepare meals with. -And especially around Thanksgiving. Yum!
One of my favorite meals to make before Thanksgiving is my Delicious Cranberry Chicken Wings. The glaze alone make these wings so damn good. -And the best part, they’re so super simple to make. These chicken wings are so tender and full of flavor. The meat practically just falls right off. When it comes to wings and if they’re a hassle, I don’t want them. I don’t want to fight to enjoy them. I want them to be so tender that eating them comes easy. Don’t you agree? It truly makes a difference.
And trust me, you will be licking your fingers after eating these cranberry wings. Goodness me they are so good! I’m a firm believer when it comes to slow cooking. Even more so when it comes to slow cooked wings.
Jellied cranberry sauce is a must for this recipe. Not only does it taste unbelievable as is but when it’s slow cooked, all the flavors from the cranberry sauce just emerge directly in the chicken.
For this recipe, you will need one can of Jellied Cranberry Sauce, 1/2 cup of Orange Juice, two tablespoons of Soy Sauce, two tablespoons of Honey, one tablespoon of Dark Brown Sugar, two teaspoons of Garlic Powder, and two teaspoons of Garlic Salt.
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients together and whisk until sauce is smooth. Scrape the sides of the bowl until your cranberry liquid is blended well.
Place chicken wings in a slow cooker and pour cranberry mixture over the top of the chicken. Cook on high heat for three hours.
Once completely cooked, remove your wings and place them in a baking dish. Take the cooking juices from the crockpot and pour it in a skillet.
Remove any fat from the skillet and let boil for 15 minutes until mixture is reduced by half. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch and water together. Pour into cranberry juices. Boil for two or three minutes and continue to stir.
Pour cranberry glaze over your chicken wings and broil in the oven for 10 minutes on 400 degrees. Remove from your oven and serve with any additional glaze.
Didn’t I tell you that these cranberry wings were super simple and easy to make? Three easy steps and these OMG! delicious wings are a must to serve this fall. They are tangy and sweet. In my opinion, the cranberry glaze makes these wings so amazing. You gotta try the recipe for yourself. This would be the perfect recipe to serve on game day or for any day of the week.
